Compras: Tofu Fumado Da Flori - Tofu Português ✅
I should start by saying that tofu hasn’t been in this kitchen for a long time—a really long time, years I’d say 🫣 I’ll also take this opportunity to mention that I wasn’t paid to feature this tofu here; I did it of my own free will, without any sponsorship (but I’m totally open to it, just so you know 😁—let’s talk if that’s the case).
But let’s get down to business. Is this Portuguese-made tofu any good or what?!
I don’t think I’d ever seen domestically produced tofu before, so I was curious. And I’ll admit, I forgot about it in the back of the fridge 🫣 But I rescued it in time and made a delicious tofu curry with chickpeas, leeks, and mushrooms. The curry turned out really good, just by chance 😁
But, even though it was very good, this tofu wasn’t the best choice for a curry. I prefer softer tofu in curry—the kind that melts in your mouth. In this case, this tofu is ideal for a stir-fry. That’s the only way to really taste its smoky flavor and enjoy its firm texture.
I also have the same brand’s seitan to try, but that’s for next week 😉.
